Sparkle> Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and it annoys the pig! Then again, if the pig claims to mean well maybe it CAN learn! NOT!!!
TC1> Thankyou for the cool rhyme! I am touched!!!

Hey, thanks for the tea. I enjoy tea more than coffee, but drink both.
I agree with Gus, CHERIE does "Sparkle" and she seems like a pretty cool cat- hence the "Lynx". Plus I like these type of cat's. Now you all know where I came up with the name Sparklelynx!
Anyhow- have a great evening.

I figured that out a while back TC1. I don't hang around there but sometimes visit.
Seems like some real nice fans there too Too bad about the others
Cherie's board is the best I've ever visited. Lots of positive energy AND Cherie actually posting!!! I still can't get over how cool it is here, where Cherie's always shines brightly!
Have a great day everyone!

This has been a very interesting thread! Never been to Joan's message board but I go to Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart's all the time and My God! Those people fight and tear each other up all the time! Heart is on tour as "Heart" for the first time in ages and all the "fans" have done is complain about the set list, complain about the venues, it goes on and on and on.
Cherie, you have GREAT people on your board!! Everyone is cool, positive and we all share adoration for YOU!!!!! When are you playing again??? We need a fix soon! I wish you'd come back to San Francisco! My Cherry Bomb CD with you and Joan is almost worn out.

Hello Radio Guy,
I'm fairly new to these posting's too. The people here are very sweet. (They must be, they compliment me on my poems )
I also happen to love the group Heart and have seen them in concert! Nancy Wilson is one of the most talented female guitarist I've seen. I fell in love with playing the guitar because of her and women like Joan Jett and Lita Ford. In my book they are all Rock Goddesses. Ann Wilson has a voice that could put some angels to shame!
And WE ALL KNOW another female singer who can do the same!(CHERIE)
Rock on Cherie- PS- we really would love to see you on the east coast- in fact I happen to know that Joan is coming to Maryland in August. That would be a great time...Hint, hint...

COOL!
Nice to hear good things about Ann & Nancy Wilson here. You're right, their bbs attracts some really stupid people who say the most disrespectful things - but that's what you get with an unmoderated board. And, that's why I have to spend time away from that place occasionally.
These mega-talented women also inspired me to learn guitar and gave confidence to many young girls who wanted to rock! You gotta respect them for being the first women in rock to lead a band - let alone write the songs and play many instruments. We still dont' see that very often. Nancy has the most unique picking style and no one can hold a candle to Ann Wilson's voice! She's still got it and seems to improve with age. Saw the new band in Oct. (missed Howie though...) and can't wait until they get back over here for the left coast dates.
Cheers to fellow Heart and Runaways fanZ!

And about the Runaways - you gotta admire their dedication to succeed considering the environment they were playing in. As a teenager, it would have been easier to tell Kim Fowley to go to **** and quit but they worked their asses off and also showed young girls that you can rock the stage! A friend visited me from the UK last month and brought with him "Live in Japan" on cd. (he copied it from vinyl and it sounds amazing!)
Next time some ignorant person says they couldn't play their instruments, I'm going to put on that cd. The live show does not lie! How impressive are their musical skills? And at that age? Why haven't we seen/heard anything that compares to what the Runaways did back then?
